VYOMET
VYOMET is a mobile application on Android and iOS platforms for severe weather alerting and visualization. It uses the Total Lightning Network from Earth Networks and data from EN weather stations through feeds and API’s. The basic app is a free download from Google Play Store and Apple Store.
The basic version is Advertisement supported and does not provide location-based push notifications. Users can upgrade to a paid version that does not have advertisements and provides location-based push notifications for lightning and dangerous thunderstorms.
VYOMET provides several map layers including lightning, rainfall, dangerous thunderstorms, temperature, heat index, windchill and humidity. It provides map and satellite views. VYOMET also provides current weather observations, hourly forecasts for the current day and daily forecast for the current week. VYOMET currently supports English and Hindi. In the next release expected in Q3 of 2021, most of the vernacular languages will be supported. Click on vyomet to download the brochure.
